Self Striping Potholders

I have made another set of potholders. These were for my daughter now that she is married. I used Lily Sugar ‘n Cream self striping cotton yarn. I used an out of print Leisure Arts pattern. My daughter has decided to keep these for more of keepsake rather than using them.

Bath Puff

I started this a couple of days ago. It was really easy but more time consuming than I had thought, it took me four days to complete this project, probably a total of about 4-5 hours. You can find the pattern here. The bath puff is on the left of the leaflet. It took more yarn than I had expected, almost two full balls of cotton yarn. It turned out really nice. I would recommend washing these when you wash your washcloths and towels, just to keep them from molding because it is 100% cotton, which is not mold resistant.

Windowpane Afghan

I made this for my daughter. I started it in mid March and finished it Apr. 10, 2011. It worked up fairly quickly using two strands of yarn. This was made using Caron Simply Soft yarn. My first time at using this yarn. I am really happy with this yarn the way it holds its shape and it’s easy to crochet with.
