Double Ripple Afghan

I started an afghan for my boyfriend for his birthday with it only a few weeks away. Yes, I am a procrastinator! I started it on July 21, 2010, and I am already a quarter done with it. It won’t take me long to make it, or I should have it done just in time for his birthday. It works up quickly with using two strands of yarn. Pics coming soon!

Update: 8-15-10
I finished the afghan today, yes it is a couple of days late. It is bigger than I had planned. I added 20 to the chain to make it wider and I made it about 8 inches longer than the pattern called for.

Colorful Coasters

The red one I made quite some time ago and have actually never used it. The white/tan one I made in 2009 for my desk for my cappuccino I drink every morning. These are quick and easy to make. They wash up really nice and are made with cotton yarn.

Not My Favorite

Here is a hotpad I made for my Mom, just finished it today. I got the ugly orange color from my cousin who got the yarn from my aunt. I really like the pattern, but not so much the color orange at least this color of orange. I wanted to use the color up, so I made this quick and simple hotpad. The color isn’t too bad, I guess. It isn’t something I would have for color in my house, but I’m sure my Mom will like the color. I actually started this project in February 2009, and finished it in April 2009. I don’t have a lot of time to do much crocheting. I would like to do more. The colors look different in each picture, I tried to adjust them all the same.
